We at Pandaloop are committed to helping ESL Employers and Recruiters find the highly qualified applicants they need to fill their high quality job positions. By being clear what constitutes a qualified applicant, everyone saves time and disappointment.
What constitutes being a qualified applicant?
We closely follow country specific immigration rules to help classify teachers as being qualified or unqualified. We do our best to collect information from our users to determine whether the applicant is considered qualified or not. However, we can not guarantee the validity of the data provided by the user as we must rely on the accuracy of the information provided to us.
There is some data that we are unable to request as it is too sensitive (e.g. criminal records or health test results). At this time, we are unable to verify whether or not the user has all his or her documents ready and available for any visa application process, but we are taking steps to educate our users on the visa requirements and application process. Since our initial focus is on South Korea we are only listing the qualified applicant requirements for South Korea. We will be adding requirements for other countries in the very near future. Please check back again soon!
South Korea Qualified Applicants
To determine whether or not an applicant is qualified, we follow the same rules as the South Korean Immigration Office, which can be found through http://www.hikorea.go.kr. At the present time we are only checking for qualifications based on the E2 visa.
E2 Visa Requirements
The following checks are made to qualify a teacher for an E2 visa:
- Nationality - The applicant must be a citizen and hold a passport from one of the following countries: Canada, USA, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa.
- Education Background - Must have an education in English from at least high school and on through university.
- Education Level - Must have acquired a four year bachelor degree or higher from an accredited university located in one of the seven countries listed above.
It is up to teachers to ensure they have all required documents ready when they apply for a job.
At this time, we can’t know for sure if the applicant has all his or her documents ready or not, but we take steps to educate teachers about the visa requirements and the application process.
Other South Korean Visas
We will be adding more visa checks for South Korea in the very near future. Please check back again soon!
